The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been founded by Ministry of Education, Government of India an independent/autonomous, self-reliant and self-sustained premier testing organization.
For the academic year 2023-24, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE)-2023 for admission to two classes which is Class VI and Class IX in thirty three Sainik Schools all across the country. CBSE-affiliated Sainik Schools offer English medium education. They prepare cadets to join the National Defence Academy, Indian Naval Academy and other Training Academies, for Officers.
The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has approved 18 additional Sainik schools, some of which are operated by NGOs, others by private schools, and some by state governments. Under the aegis of Sainik Schools Society, these New Sainik Schools operate. Admission to the Sainik School stream of Class VI of the New Sainik Schools, for the academic year 2023-24 is also through AISSEE 2023.

Scheme/duration/medium/syllabus of examination, list of Sainik Schools/New Sainik Schools and their tentative intake, reservation of seats, exam cities, passing requirements, important dates, etc., relating to the exam are contained in the Information Bulletin hosted on www.nta.ac.in/ https://aissee.nta.nic.ac.in.
