The game was previously only available on Android & IOS devices, however, a series of updates and adjustments to the game led to it being removed from the Apple app store & Google Playstore on Thursday 28th July 2022, with no official word on when it will return, This is our Assumptions why it may have been removed,

8. BGMI is Banned again in India under Section 69A of the Indian IT Act.

7. It is said that the government banned the game as a result of the action over concerns that BGMI was still sharing data with China. The government initially

blocked access to the 118 apps in 2020, which involved popular games and apps such as PUBG Mobile, CamScanner, and TikTok under Section 69A of the Indian IT laws. Now, it is using the same law to ban Battlegrounds Mobile India.

6. The government has banned the royal battle-ground format game, using a section of the IT law that it has invoked since 2020 to ban Chinese apps on national security and data sharing concerns, a source told Reuters.

5. BattleGrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has been temporarily taken down from both PlayStore and App Store. This action is the result of the immoral acts that took place last month, where a 16-year-old boy reportedly shot his mother over a dispute over this game. Added to this act, Prahar (NGO) had also appealed to the Government of India to take action against the game as it is a replica of the previously banned game Pubg Mobile. According to reports, Tomorrow is the day when the decision regarding this dispute will be announced in the Court. However, we are waiting for the official confirmation from Krafton.

Since there is no official confirmation from Krafton regarding this matter, we can only assume that the game was removed from the Apple Appstore & Google Playstore for violating their terms of service. The game is currently unavailable for download from the app store and Google Play. It is unclear if the game will return at a later date.

Other BGMI & Mobile Esports Creators are in a questionable state too, about the disappearance of BGMI from both the Play store & App store, We still don’t have any official confirmation as to what actually has happened to the game, and why it is removed, Indian Gaming Community is still trying to find out the reasons behind it, We at AFPR News are trying to contact as many creators and officials for further confirmations,

We don’t think Battlegrounds Mobile is Banned in India, but there are some violations of Policy in both the Play Store & App Store, that led to the removal of BGMI from these places, and we are expecting it to return as soon as the problems are fixed by the developers of BGMI & Krafton.

Also, One reason could be that Recently, Krafton has collaborated with a company named Blackpink a South Korean K-POP girl group to bring new & interesting events and rewards for the players & need an update in the game, therefore its servers are getting updated with the new version which is why the game is currently unavailable in Play Store & App Store
