UPSC NDA Final Result 2021: The Union Public Service Commission has announced the final results for the National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (II), 2021 on its official website. A total of 462 candidates have been selected in order of merit.

The written examination was held on November 14, 2021, and all candidates had to appear for interviews held by the Services Selection Board.

The candidates who have been selected will be inducted into the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the National Defence Academy for the 148th Course and Naval Academy. Candidates can check their results by clicking on the direct link below.

UPSC NDA & NA 2 Final Result 2021 Summary

The selected candidates will now have to appear for a medical examination conducted by the Services Selection Board. Candidates who are declared medically fit will be inducted into the National Defence Academy or Naval Academy as per their preferences.

The candidates who have been selected for the Army Wing of National Defence Academy will undergo their training at the academy located in Pune, Maharashtra. Those selected for the Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy will undergo their training at Hyderabad (Telangana) and Goa (Kerala) respectively.

NDA 2022 Result Date

The result of the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II) is expected to be announced in the month of June 2022. The commission will first release the merit list of candidates who have qualified for the next stage of selection on its official website. Candidates who have qualified for the written examination will be called for interviews which are conducted by the Services Selection Board.

Selection Process

The final selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the written examination and interviews. Candidates who qualify for the written examination with minimum qualifying marks will be called for interviews. The interview is conducted for the purpose of testing a candidate’s suitability for a career in defense forces. The interview is conducted by a Board comprising members of the Armed Forces.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for appearing in NDA & NA Examination are given below:

Candidates must be citizens of India, Nepal, or Bhutan. · Candidates must be aged between 16½ and 19 years. · Candidates must have completed a 10+2 level of education from a recognized Board or University.

Age Limit

The age limit for candidates appearing in NDA & NA Examination is given below:

For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: Unmarried male candidates aged between 16½ and 19 years are eligible to apply. · For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: Unmarried male candidates aged between 16½ and 19 years are eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification

The educational qualification for candidates appearing in NDA & NA Examination is given below:

For the Army Wing of National Defence Academy: Candidates must have completed a 10+2 level of education from a recognized Board or University. · For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: Candidates must have completed a 10+2 level of education with Physics and Mathematics subjects from a recognized Board or University.

NDA & NA (II) Exam Pattern

The UPSC NDA & NA (II) Examination is a written exam that is conducted in two parts- Mathematics and General Ability Test. Both the papers are of objective type and carry 900 marks each. The total duration of the examination is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

  • Paper-I: Mathematics- It comprises 120 questions of 300 marks.
  • Paper-II: General Ability Test- It comprises 150 questions from two sections viz English & General Knowledge each carrying 600 marks.
