NMMS results for the year 2023 for West Bengal have been released! Earlier this week, the National Means cum Merit result for the West Bengal School Education Department was published on the official website of the West Bengal School Education Department at scholarships.wbsed.gov.in. In addition to the district-based results of the WB NMMS 8th Scholarship, the PDF also includes the student’s name, roll number, and other scholarship details. WB NMMS merit lists are prepared based on the scores obtained on both the MAT and the SAT exams. After passing the exam, candidates will be required to register on NSP2, the National Scholarship Portal. You have to register on NSP2 to take advantage of the scholarship in July/August.

School District-wise selected merit lists of students of NMMSE, 2022 have already been published on the website – “scholarships.wbsed.gov.in.;
As per the guidelines of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It is mandatory for all selected students in the country to register on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP2) / (https://scholarships.gov.in), which remains open for registration from July to August every year.
As a result, it must be mentioned here that until and unless a selected student furnishes relevant information in the online form on NSP2 in time, he/she will not be eligible to take advantage of the said scholarship.

It is for this reason that the selected students from the State level National Means-Cummerit Examination (NMMSE) 2022 will have to apply online using the option of “New Registration” on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP2)/( https://scholarships.gov.in) using their basic information (such as the name, the father’s name, the date of birth, the scholarship category (Pre-Matric), the scholarship scheme, etc.).
A 17-digit unique ID will be generated in favor of each student after they have successfully registered for the course. Thereafter, he/she must submit an online form using the options Fresh Application/”Log in to apply 2023-24″ (for example, the following: WB202324XXXXXXXXXX) in NSP2/ (https://scholarships.gov.in) using his / her seventeen digits (17) ID (for example, the following: WB202324XXXXXXXXX).
There is a requirement that students must select the scheme ‘National Means-Cum Merit Scholarship’ on the second page of the online application form before submitting it. Upon final submission of an application by a student at NSP2, it is necessary for the student’s application to be verified both at the institute level and at the district level.
It is therefore requested that each student contact the Institute Nodal Officer (INO) immediately in order for the online application to be verified by the Institute Nodal Officer (INO). He/she may contact the following person for any query he/she may have, which is the District Inspector of Schools (Secondary Education) of his/her district and Head of the Institution/Nodal Teacher of his/her Institution.

- Click on the link that says, “NMMSE-2022 District-wise Selected Candidates List” on the homepage.
- You will now be able to see a district-by-district list of the candidates who have been shortlisted
- You can check your roll number and other details by clicking here
- For future reference, save and download the result PDF
After registering successfully on the NSP2 portal, candidates will be able to log in with their 17-digit roll number that will be generated following their registration. As soon as the student has submitted the final application to NSP2, institute and district-level verifications are required for each student application submitted. According to a notice issued by WBSED, each student is urged to contact the Head of the Institution immediately. This is to have the Institute Nodal Officer (INO) verify the online application.
